Nick Venegoni, MFT

I have lived in, worked with and experienced a variety of queer communities in my 20 years living in the bay area. When I use the term queer I refer to a variety of identities or labels with which people may choose to identify themselves, some of them being: gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, kinky, poly, pagan, gender queer, etc. All of these forms are welcome and celebrated in my practice, as we work together to help you find healing and growth toward relief from suffering and more joy in your life.

I am a seeker and student of healing wisdom, and I have always had a curiosity for the nature of the universe and my relationship with it. Growing up I couldn’t wait to take off my shoes and play in the yard with my dogs and sit in trees, feeling most at home in my body in the natural world. In my teens I began studying astrology with the aid of my great aunt, and I started to contemplate the ways in which the movements of the cosmos influenced the opportunities which present themselves in our lives.

bubblesAs I matured I discovered a natural talent for listening to others stories and holding their emotions, much in the same way the trees held me as a child. My path lead me to various healers and spiritual teachers, learning about a variety of holistic health practices and alternative medicine traditions. I have studied and practice meditation, yoga, shamanism, reiki, and hypnotherapy – all of which color my world view and the way in which I work with my clients.

Eventually I found my way back to school where I studied transpersonal psychology and I completed my MA in Counseling Psychology. Now I bring all of these experiences and tools into my practice to help people find their own way on their path to joy and wholeness.
